2023 24 HOURS OF LE MANS – A HISTORIC TENTH WIN FOR FERRARI AND A VERY NICE BBURAGO 1/43 MODEL TO CELEBRATE THAT WIN!
For its return to the head class of endurance racing after 50 years, Ferrari delivered a stunningly memorable victory at the Centenary at Le Mans. The Ferrari 499P proved fast and reliable in its first participation, and certainly the same can be said for its drivers Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado and Antonio Giovinazzi.
No. 51 Ferrari 499P was Calado's, Giovinazzi's and Pier Guidi's maiden overall Le Mans victory, Ferrari's tenth and its first since 1965. They finished 1 minute, 21.793 seconds ahead of the No. 8 Toyota, with the No. 2 Cadillac finishing one lap behind in third place.
My latest Le Mans Winner model arrived yesterday.
This model by Bburago in 1/43 scale is the best Bburago that I have yet seen and a great addition to my Le Mans car winner collection.
I now have every winner since 1923.

I posted my LookSmart not long ago. They have also announced this year's winner, and I expect Bburago will follow suit. The diecast doesn't lack too many details compared to the pricier resin model. Bburago has indeed upped their game in recent years.

LookSmart does a great job of modeling these 1/43rds but Bburago is also doing a great job. This one looks GREAT David!!
