....from an alternate universe, this was the 1955 Ford Mystere and the styling cues for the '57 Ford are unmistakable. This was to have a rear mounted turbine and all kinds of cool stuff that George Jetson would expect to have in his daily driver, including a TV and radio-telephone in the rear console with rabbit ears on the deck lid. Exporting the car to Britain wouldn't be a problem as the steering wheel slides so it can be driven from either seat. Spare and cargo space was under the hood. The scoop on the electronic bubble top was for fresh air in the cabin.

I like it, Rich, and it did look like the ultimate expression of the '57 Ford.

Ford Mystere

At one time NEO announced this as a coming event.  Has it happened yet? Or did I sleep through the whole process?

I see more of the 1959 Cadillac styling cues in this one myself.

I've been searching for the Neo Ford Mystere 1/43.  It seems to have been introduced early in 2016, probably in low numbers.  Then it disappears. I have found a couple of pictures from about that time.  Does anyone have one?

@d-m-holcombe I believe 2016 is correct David - I got mine in May that year.

And by the way Rich, I did not see "Neo" in your post. You can't always assume everyone here knows who made an item, especially one that is now 5 years old.

I've said it many times and I'll say it again.....    True enough that 1957 Ford styling ques are evident throughout but look again, then compare this 1955 FoMoCo concept to a 1959 Cadillac Coupe.  Any serious comparisons can't deny there surely must have been "a bit" of thievery among GM designers. There's a WHOLE LOT of '59 Cadillac in this '55 Ford!
