The 1966 Chrysler Imperial Crown was the basis for the two "Black Beauty" cars made for the '66 "Green Hornet" TV series by Dean Jeffries. The driving car has disappeared, but the gadget car is in the Petersen Museum. The original 1940s movie car was a mysterious 200+ mph ... Lincoln Zephyr!

This model, by Vitesse is pretty cool. They definitely captured the look and stance of the Imperial but the weapons systems are somewhat inaccurate and seem to blend the 1966 version with the 2011 movie car. Most outrageous are the way oversized pop-up weapons on the front fenders which appear to be 3 machine gun barrels wrapped around cannons! Anyway, it's a fun piece that I display next to the 1/18 AUTOart model that is more accurate but doesn't have those cannons exposed.

Its overall appearance and stance are accurate, but its weapons systems are inaccurate, appearing to be a hybrid of the 1966 film version as well as the 2011 film automobile.
