PICS.
After a delay, caused by bureaucratic paper filling in at the border between the newly independent UK and the EU so I am told, a new shipment of Matric has arrived. Its the 1936 Bentley 4.5 Litre Airflow Saloon with coachwork by Gurney Nutting. Available in either red or black, there are slight differences between the two versions; the black version has a boot (trunk) mounted spare wheel whilst the red Bentley has the spare mounted on the driver's side mudguard. In addition, the black version has a small emblem on the rear wheel spats and all screen surrounds are body colour whilst those on the red model are etched. Here's the pics.
Those are beautiful! I’ve always been a huge fan of sidemounts, not a big fan of 1/43 but one of these might just be the exception!
Mike and other UK Forum43 folks - did you see this recent MAR Online article on Brexit and VAT? Drummed up lots of comments on our Facebook page.
Just received my red one a few days ago.
Great looking models Mike. I have a slight preference towards the black one but both would be welcome in my home.
