Raymond H Dietrich, born in the Bronx in 1894, had a passion and a talent for drawing. As a minor, his father got him a job in an engraving office producing bonds. With that job as well as his side job pitching for various semi-pro leagues, he put himself through design school graduating in 1917. He was interested in automotive design and worked on and off for Brewster Motorcars gaining experience in coachbuilding. He began freelancing under Dietrich Inc when this beautiful 1934 Packard 12 Victoria Dietrich that was produced in limited numbers from 1932 to 1934. He later joined up with Thomas Hibbard who designed bodies for White Motors to form LeBaron. To me, this Packard convertible belongs cruising Hollywood perhaps driven, or being driven for Marlene Dietrich.

Gorgeous Packard, and especially nice in this black.

I agree it's a GORGEOUS model....but I thought it was dark blue. 🙄 🤔Â
I have the Automodello Packard and it is a beautiful model. During the 10 years I have had, I only had one problem. The thin chrome strip on the side of running board partially separated from body. It was easily fixed with water based glue.
