I recently received two models that had been in production for quite a while. I had high expectations for these models as everything from this company had previously been wonderful little gems. When they arrived however, they were not all that they should have been. The models required a considerable amount of repair, more than my hands could handle, unfortunately. I attempted what I could, but the results were less than perfect.
Now I have ordered many Goldvarg Models before, so I sent an email to Sergio Goldvarg about my concern. He responded to me in short order. Sergio Goldvarg is a "true gentleman" he sincerely has the collector's best interest at heart. His dedication to the hobby has given the collector some of the finest models available in this class. His response to my concern was no less than everything we and I have come to expect.
Sergio offered to replace my models at his expense and would ship them shortly. Just a few days later, the replacement models arrived, and they were in much better condition than the previous models. Even more than that, Sergio included a gift with the shipment. I can say that I have been blown away by his generosity and kindness. Not only did he go above and beyond, but Sergio also exceeded my highest expectations. In the world today, this is exceedingly rare. Good customer service does exist, but this high level is rarely seen and deserves to have it shouted out for all to hear and see. I have always been a supporter of Sergio Goldvarg's offerings, but now I am even more so. I eagerly await what comes next and I truly hope all the best for Mr. Goldvarg and his fine company.
Now for the gift, it was like Sergio was reading my mind. The model he sent me is one from the very top of my list. Since he announced it months ago, I have highly anticipated it becoming available. Some of the most prized models in my collection are the from this category. The basic sedan, the car seen on the roads and driven by the working folks has always been my favorite. These are the cars that I saw when I was a kid, the ones my family drove, the neighbors. Sure, the sporty hardtops and convertibles are great, but the sedans & the station wagons say more about the roads of America than they do, at least that's my opinion.
Thankfully, the 1:43 scale offers a large selection of models in this category, and I add as many to my collection as I can when I can.
Here's the gem I received from Sergio and what a gem it is.
1961 Mercury Comet Sedan... a LE #94 of 210 in Turquoise Mist (now this model is listed as Green Frost-which it isn't, the shade is definitely not green-so that is the reason I changed it)

And I'm anxiously awaiting this Comet to arrive at my usual supplier. Your receipt of one shows they may not be that far away.

Well done, John. Many of us are quick to complain, but you have given us a good account of your problems and an even better wording of your solution. Well done! And thanks for putting out the good word of Goldvarg's enlightened ownership. Thanks!
Wow, a superb '61 Comet model ! And remarkable service from Mr. Goldvarg that goes above and beyond even what one might expect. He certainly is a true champion of the hobby and of customers and collectors.
The better the product, the better the service- they seem to go hand in hand in this business. I think it all starts with pride and passion.
All of my dealings with Sergio have been pleasant and when he tells you he's going to do something it gets done. Meeting Sergio at the Chicago show confirms that this is a man you want to do business with as he is sincere in his efforts to produce a quality product with outstanding customer service.

I wish I had been able to make the trip to Chicago. Meeting Sergio would have been a real pleasure.

Those are my thoughts as well Bob; so many interesting people I look forward to meeting. I sure wish I had been able to go from Canada but it was a Covid no-go. I have a whole year to organize myself in order to get there next time! Maybe Sergio could make it then.
