This model joined my collection recently. I had been considering it for a while but wasn't convinced. I came across one at a decent price and decided to go for it. All-in-all, it's well presented and is a great color combination. I have several of these Ghia designed Chrysler models and this one fits in with them nicely.

Matrix also made this 1953 version (MX40303-011) though I think it may actually be a 1954 creation by Ghia. Aside from color, it seems to be the same car. I read online that 4 ST Specials were made, but Ghia was doing a lot with Chryslers back then, so who knows.

@mg-harv

I have the one in green too. From the research I did, I labeled it a '54. They are much different than the '53.

I am not sure about the black/red one, 'cause it looks just like the '54 too. The '55 I found photos of is far different, but I also found photos of a green version going as a '55 so, as you said. Who knows for sure. Chrysler may have made more of them with Ghia than was recorded, funny things happened years ago.

Both beautiful, John and Harv. I've always really liked those Chrysler Ghia.

They sure are beautiful.  What a shame Chrysler didn't produce them; they would have been a sales success I'll bet.
