I have just been admiring (again) John Bono's pictured '54 Packard Caribbean on the "which do you prefer" topic. (see below.) I really like that one! But here's my question: Has the 1954 Packard Caribbean ever been produced in the 1/43 scale? I have a couple of '53 versions, but not the '54.
@d-m-holcombe Actually I recently sold this one. Greg Gunn did an excellent repair job on its broken w/s a few years ago, but I decided to part with it. It brought much more than I thought it would on ebay, even with full disclosure on the repair.

Here is one. I think it is more rare than the convertible to see one?
As a rule I loathe continental kits except for just a couple which, to my eye at least, seem to suit the car. The NABCC Packard thankfully is one such model/car. I really look forward to receiving mine this fall. Love the color choice!
Since we are discussing Continental kits, I have a question about them. When used on American cars in the 1950s, we’re they functional or more for appearance. Another way of asking the question, did the Continental kit include the spare tire or was the spare still in the trunk?
