A question for collectors of the uncommon car.
As far as I know two different folks make a 1/43 model of the Manta Ray car from the fifties. Both Esval and Autocult. Maybe its been tried before too, but I'm not aware. Do any of you have one or the other or both and can offer a comparison? Which one is correct? They are probably both up there now in Countryside, IL. Wish I was.
I have Autocult's Manta Ray and I am very fond of it.
But then Autocult makes great models, with great care...
Either or...
As it's an oddball, I've only ever seen pics of it so both the Esval and Autocult look right. Here's an idea... Buy 'em both! I got Autocult's version in gold and the Esval in light pink.
Esval in light pink was very, very nice at Countryside today! Did not see the AutoCult there.
Before you got there Karl I borrowed the AC from Jeane Kirkel....
...and compared to the Esval at JK's table. Almost the same casting but there were very minor noncolor differences. The AC might be a smidge longer.
