I had a long and informative call with Howie Levine today about odds and ends related to the marque. The topic of resin bodies came up, as earlier I was using some Flitz polish on my MC-62 '48 Chevy pace car to spruce up the bumpers. I had disassembled the chassis to make the job easier and noted the body on this one is resin. Howie said this was true of the MC-60 '48 Fleetline and a second run of the 1950 Pontiac convertible as well. Any others? I also believe the Motor City Gold series had resin bodies but await confirmation of this.

I don't think theMC Gold were resin. I don't have any right now, but they certainly didn't feel resin.
@albert-kopans I may remove the baseplate of my MCG Nash sometime and have look-see. The heft of my '48 pace car is sufficient that, had I not removed the base, I would not have suspected its resin body. Well, maybe.
@albert-kopans I’d agree. I have two of them and both are quite heavy. Too hefty to be resin bodied.
@randyrusk rumor had it that some weight might have been added to those metal baseplates.
