I found (?) this while hunting in a storage closet for something else. Thought someone else might be interested.
Curious, I carefully took the 2 screws out from the back of the base to attempt to find more. No such luck.
I enjoyed a closer look at the Thunderbird.
I even took it out to the driveway (just to photograph it in the direct sunlight).
Now I'm wondering what else is in that closet. David
I just checked the http://www.motorheads etc. site and found some figures, mostly 1/24 but a few 1/48. No more Fords, doggone it.
I like it too although I'm very suspicious about the color choice listed on the box..lol
All of the models from the short lived Ford Products are excellent especially this 1962 Thunderbird Sports Roadster and their 1955 Thunderbird.
@d-m-holcombe Aside from the 24th scale attractive young ladies with tools and tires, there are three 48th scale traffic cops that might work well in someone's diorama.

With a bit of internal surgery to move the rear wheels moved out a bit, as well as the rear fender trim painted out
@bob-jackman Bob, the nicest feature of the 'Motorhead' version of the '55 Tbird is that it comes closed with the non-porthole hardtop.
The fidelity is just shy of the Pauls Model art version for the Ford 100 series
Stanton, I respectfully disagree. I have both the Pauls Model Art and Motorhead versions of the 55 and owned and restored a 1/1 Goldenrod Yellow to CTI standards. There's no question that the Pauls model is a nice rendition but the Motorhead excels in two ways, first the the key lock detail on the deck lid and secondly the Pauls model features the wire wheel cover with the center of the hub cap being body colored when it should be red on the 55s. While I commend Pauls for doing the wire wheel cover option, it non the less should be correct.
@clifford-read Great work! Did you re-paint the entire station wagon? I've only seen the model in the green/cream that I have and a dark blue.
Red/white was one of the colors offered on that model from Motorhead a couple of years ago. I simply matched the red as best I could and painted out the chrome rear fender trim. To be completely accurate, I should also get rid of the rib that the fender trim creates, but the bodywork required and then repainting the complete side panel would have been much more risky.
