Hi All,

I've always been a fan of the 1977-1979 Cadillac full size sedans and Stamps newly issued 1978 Series 75 really spoke to me in all black with the colour keyed wheel covers.  My fondest memory of this car is during the opening sequence of Different Strokes where they show the limo traversing around New York.

DS Limo

I decided to take some photos of the Limo along side the Fleetwood issued by Neo a few years back.  Please excuse the quality, I take terrible photographs.

On the frontal view, you can really see that the NEO is too low and bulky when compared to the Stamps.

For the rear view, the Neo comes off crisper on the trim details, but a bit too sloped on the trunk lid.

rear

From the side view, the NEO tires seem a bit large.  The Stamps looks about right.

I like to display my models in the case with their sleeve so that I don't need to pack them away. With that said, I really dislike how Stamp designed there sleeve as it  obscures the view.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the above.

Cheers!

Alfred

It’s funny how the front-end on the NEO looks exactly like the misaligned front-end on my buddy’s ‘79 Coupe de Ville which he needs to correct.

Both models looks very nice. 'Different Strokes' was called in Spain as 'Arnold'.

They both look good. I have the Series 75 in a dark red, I didn't get the black NEO.

Good eye! I didn't actually clue in to why the Neo looked off until you pointed it out.  It looks to be a design flaw since Google photos of the other colors they released show the same gap.

Stamp did it right by flush mounting the bumper to the cornering lights.

Your friends Coupe DeVille is gorgeous.  That is a rare one with the vinyl top delete.

Cheers!

Alfred
