Can’t find anything online about AGM but a search did lead me to join forum. Any info would be good. I believe made in England. Quite heavy like an early Brooklin. Curious as to year made and what became of AGM.

Welcome, Frank. We're glad you're here. Let's see what comes up!

Handbuilt, 1/43 white metal models by Modelauto in Leeds, England, owned by Rod Ward. The range was made from 1983 to around 2012. Later cars were in resin. The DeSoto and Bristol 450 were remakes based on AGM models, also made in England.
@frank I found the above at http://www.hobbydb.com which at least tells us the company was British. The DeSoto is a very handsome model. I added a touch of chrome to the fender mouldings and found it brought the model up a treat.
Terrific. Thanks

A favorite source is Jerry Rettig's AMERICAN WHEELS (2008 and too long out of print). Jerry lists AGM on page A-1 under "Manufacturers Information for 1/43 Model Cars." He prints
AGM England WhtMtl (white metal) 1/43 Quality Level 4 (Brooklin has a 7) Built/Kits
On page 2-1, he lists DeSoto/ 1947/ 4drSedan/ Suburban/ AGM/ Number 01/ WhtMtl/
2=Taxi, also Hearse
Hope that helps. I will add anything else I can find here later. David H
(moments later) Checked Hobbydb and found the DeSoto in 3 variations listed as 1948. Good if small pictures, especially of the taxi. See

Elsewhere on the hobbydb site I found this information:
AGM 1/43 resin handbuilt models from England, made by Geoff Moorhouse. He (AG Moorhouse) worked for Dinky Toys during the 1970's. DeSoto, Bristol 450, etc. were made in this range. Later re-made in white metal by Sun Motors, also England.
In FORD IN MINIATURE by Randall Olson (volocebooks.com) on page 115 is some information about "ex AGM-Geoff Moorhouse" and his DeSoto and Bristol 450 that became part of Sun Motor Company.

I've come close to buying the taxi version several times. Still want to add one to my taxi fleet.
Geoff Moorhouse worked for Dinky Toys during the mid to late 1970's and was involved in the design of this Foden S90 Lorry which was made between 1976 to 1979. Seems he preferred lorries to cars and in 1979 he formed his own company 'Heavy Goods' making white metal truck kits in 1:50th scale.

One thing to note is that it is in 1:42nd scale and not the weedy 1:50th scale that is usually associated with model trucks.

@frank This thread just proves how connected our little 1/43 world is! I entered the AGM and Sun Motor info into hobbyDB, and I am the US Editor for MAR Online now. That's the current version of Rod Ward's print magazine, Model Auto Review (who also produced Sun Motor!).
@karl. Good stuff. I bought that at the Greenberg’s train show a few years ago here in tidewater area from a fella from Florida that had a wide variety and this was very unusual.

I just checked out you MAR Online very cool. Hallmark did a 50th anniversary thunderbird 1955 and 2004 set very close to 143 scale. Found on eBay

@chris-sweetman When you look at the Heavy Goods trucks, you can see the resemblance. That Dinky suspension is very nice for a toy truck!
