My Altaya GMC transporter arrived from a Spanish vendor on Ebay, only one month shipping time. Tested it out with four period Chevrolets. Yes, it is possible with one removable ramp section to load vehicles on the lower level but it is tight.
And here it is towed by the 1953 Dodge COE tractor by Brooklin with a load of Dinky or Corgi Mopars which, being a bit smaller fit easier.

While I admire these transporters, John, what really caught my eye is the load of Chevrolets. I think they are all '52s, but I'm not sure. I wonder if they are the unknown-to-me Record kits. Any details to ease my curiosity?
Yes, David, all Record items. I also have a series of Pontiacs from the early '50s and a few Jaguar XK140s.

I love the GMC car carrier with the Chevys !!!! I sure hope that Goldvarg do a series of these 49-52 Chevys and Pontiacs in the various body styles; I would buy them all.
@jack-dodds No, I really want some reasonably priced diecasts (IXO, Greenlight, Altaya etc.) 1949-1952 Plymouths. So far these are very unrepresented. If they don't do all the body styles, I'll make 'em.

mine arrived a few days ago-it is a very nice model. I too have discovered that while 4 models will fit, the space is tight. For display, I will try some smaller resin models but I haven't picked which ones yet.

I agree the Plymouths from this era are glaringly missing...starting with the Belvedere.
John, your Chevy "load" looks right. I must find out more about this GMC carrier!
Got mine from Spain on Ebay from a seller called podium3376. He has another one listed. Shipping from Spain to the west coast was exactly one month.
