This is a call for help from all the experts on the Forum...

I recently picked up a 1963 Studebaker GT Hawk in metallic green mist (#8/50) from Minimarque. It's a beauty. But as I was taking it out of the box, I heard a little plink and found a very small circular piece in the bottom of the box.

After thoroughly going over the car, I can't find any place for it to go but one...

So, does it go on the center of the steering wheel? And if so, how in the heck do I get it back on there?

If in fact it goes on the steering wheel, use a special tweezers  which is the fifth item to the right of the saw in this photo.

"How in the heck do I get it back on there?"

Tweezers, white glue (or CA glue ) and a steady hand.

Hi, If it was my car, I would simply remove the screws on the bottom plate and carefully remove the interior tub to expose the steering wheel and them reglue the center piece to the center hub.  Then, complete the process of reassembling the car. Just my take.

Randy, I can verify that it goes in the center of the steering wheel. How do I know?  I took mine out of it's display case and when returning it, I looked at the floor and saw that the mesh in the grill was laying there. I have just reattached the part and am thankful that I noticed the part which doesn't always happen.

@bob-jackman Thank you for the confirmation and to everyone else for the tips on how to reattach it.
