Spark just released this '57 'Vette in their US series (#US187). The real car was entered by John Fitch and driven by Gaston Andrey and Dr. Dick Thompson at Sebring to a 12th place finish, 1st in the 5-liter class. Thompson, known as the Flying Dentist, had quite a great part-time race career (he never gave up his dental practice). He had three 2nd in class victories at Sebring, a 1st in class at Le Mans in 1965 (driving an AC/Shelby Cobra Daytona coupe), and an outright win in a Mirage M1 at the Spa 1000km in 1967, paired with Jacky Ickx. Not too shabby. The model is up to Spark's usual quality level. The side scallop is bordered in chrome (take a lesson here, GLM/Stamp!) and the chrome fuel injection script is legible.
I love this year Vette. Harv do you know if Spark has made this one in stock version yet?
Looking sweet!

@jack-dodds Good question Jack. I would be over this in a stock version.
Spark made a '60 and a '62, a 1956 Sebring car, and all the 1960 Le Mans cars. Some more racing versions are planned, but other than these two I am unaware of other C1 road cars. My road cars were issued in 2014. Of course, that doesn't mean there aren't others I missed....
MiniMarque did several C1 models but not sure they did a 57.
@jack-dodds Schuco has just released a '56
the seller has listed it as a Spark for some reason
Upd. Schuco.Pro is really a brand of Spark.

@ed-davis ....because IMO Ed, FM's wheels are less than stellar (that's why I had to do something to make it less quirky 🙄) and body proportions are a bit skewed here & there. The CHEAPY white Road Champs model above it, IMO, exhibits greater fidelity.
