And now the rest of the story, partially of Oakland Models
John Dehanes didn't actually produce Oakland Models. He did all of the casting work for a gentleman, which I barely remember, by the name of Herb Jackson, from Michigan. This was around 1984, and lasted until approximately 1986, when Herb suddenly passed away.
The three cars, that there were any quantity of, were the 1954 Ford Sunliner Convertible in Red, and the Two dr Victoria hardtop, in Black, with a White Top, plus the 1950 Ford Custom 2 door sedan, in Dark Blue. There were some Skyliner hardtops in Salmon and White (not many), and possibly a few 1953 Ford convertible Indy 500 Pace Cars, done for a collector who, I believe, has been on this forum before, Peter Foss. Herb's passing was the end of Oakland Models.

My recollection is that Herb Jackson put on a lot of collector toy shows.
And speaking of Pete, his voice has been noticeably absent for quite some time now. I'm assuming the worst. His son appears to still be selling his collection here:

Thanks for the history! I met Pete Foss many time at the Chicago show and some here on the Forum retired to Florida a while ago and was in poor health back them. I lost track of him...
Herb Jackson is a familiar name as well, as Harvey said! I saw his name all over the place back in the day...
