Just guessing... It's only Vol 1 and had room for American cars only?

It's very large and heavy as it sits. I can't imagine adding more.

IMO, it would be better to have separate volumes. If you haven't seen one, it really is well done and is far more than just pictures of the models. But, I'm betting the book weighs five pounds (2.25 kilos) or more.

It is very large and it is extremely well done....there must be a strategic reason for some models and model groups being left out.

I am not trying to deter anyone from buying it...I have mentioned more than a few times how much I enjoy it.

It is the only book I own that has a permanent spot on my coffee table.

Hoping to hear from Mr. Cappi for the answer.

The story of the Brooklin Collectors Guide.

It all started in 2012 when I decided to take pictures of my Brooklin collection models (over 1000 pieces) and I said to myself: why not add descriptions and make a book for collectors? A great help for the text was given by Roger Mateo of the SFBBC. Therefore, I put together the first edition of the Brooklin Illustrated Collectors Guide, which took me several months of work. I printed 100 copies in September 2012 which were sold to collectors all over the world and were highly appreciated. Upon request of many collectors I printed an updated version in 2014 and the third edition in 2016. Last year mr. Bulgari saw my guide, he liked it a lot and wanted to make a book out of it. So I worked closely with them reviewing and updating the guide (again with several months of work) and we printed the fourth edition.
Now to the point. I collect only American cars and this is why the guide contains only Brooklin models, but we called it Volume 1 because we plan to make Volume 2 with all Brooklin production. I cannot say when, also because of this terrible situation we have, bu it will eventually be made. So be patient and let's hope in the future.

Gianluigi, thanks for your explanation . I believe that I was one of your first customers.

I hope you and your family are still well, there in the North of Italy.
It is more than a terrible situation in your area.
Here in Holland with 17.5 million people in an area twice Vermont,it is a little better, but still spreads.
Let us hope and pray, that this will be over.

I asked this question because I purchased a Lansdowne 1952 Ford Pilot Station Wagon and wanted to check out when it was made and other facts about it.

I found a brand new one in the box for $95! Cheap!

I bought it to add to my woodie wagon collection.

Taken from Brooklin’s website: As the back cover says …….

?A fascinating journey into the history of American cars from the Great Depression and World War II to the Golden Age of the 50s and 60s, narrated by the beautiful white metal miniatures made by Brooklin Models. Over 1600 pictures and historic description of the models will take you back to the glorious past of American automobile.?

I will look forward to Volume 2 Gianluigi. I enjoyed Vol.1 immensely

There is some information on my website which might be useful,www.spacroftmodels.co.uk/lansdowne_range.htm and Bob Timmis, former editor of the Lansdowne Collectors' Club Magazine, compiled a very detailed record of Lansdownes, Robeddies' etc.
