Another "pickup" from the Matchbox Models of Yesteryear series is this 1941 Chevrolet Army Fire Truck.

Though I like fire trucks, I avoided this one as too unrealistic. Very unlikely that a pickup would carry more than a 250-gpm pump, suitable for grass fires, and probably portable at that, A large dia. suction hose outlet implies a 500 gpm or larger pump, which would not be the case on such a light duty, 4-tired vehicle. Had MB extended the wheelbase, and twin-tired the rear axle, a more believable model would have resulted. So nice toy, but not so accurate model.
