Some will recognize what is the background of these pictures. This is the terrazzo floor of the ACD Museum. This is the hard case of the " Cord Complete " book from Josh B. Malks published in 2009. The book is a treasure trove of original blueprints, archives pictures and documents from the factory.
The models are Automodello and Brooklin...... of course.
They both look superb and either one (or both) would be a standout in anyone's 1/43 collection. The choice of great colors on the Checker would make deciding which to get tough. Getting both colors would solve that problem !
I was literally unaware of these Checker "sky-view" cabs for many years. I didn't know how popular these glass roof panels were (including in other makes & models ) and when I first saw the front-end styling of these Checkers, I thought it was a customized Dodge or something.
Each model here looks really good!
Have both, love both. I normally don't collect taxis but because of the unique design features of this cab I had to have it.

+1 I never knew about these taxis either.
