Pics: So again, in Fontaine Blue Poly, this is what it should look like. Beautiful!

Atttaboy David! We've gotta make sure that they get that shade of color correct.

My thought, Frank, is that even though the color has been announced as Fontaine Blue Poly it appears in the photos of the test model to be much closer to Chevron Blue, nice but not Fontaine Blue. I wonder how the lighting or the camera could be that far off. Perhaps the body shop at Brooklin needs to open a different can of paint.

PICS: I'm willing to trust Amanda, who has the car and color in hand

And says they're having a hard time getting the picture to accurately depict the color and that the color is Fontain Blue. As far a lighting affecting the color is concerned, here are a few pictures of a Safari In Fontain Blue taken under different lighting conditions.

I certainly trust Amanda as well, John, and your pictures and show the variation possible.

Lovely. That car was part of the " '57 Heaven" collection in Branson, MO.

The "Transcontinental" was very rare, with only 1894 built. It was a Star Chief four-door Safari, with all the goodies. Note the difference in the design of the side trim from every other '57 Pontiac station wagon, and the ribbed stainless trim below it. This was a late introduction wagon, which came out at the same time as the limited '57 Bonneville convertible in January 1957.

I just come to look my WMCE 1957 Pontiac Safari Fontaine Blue and the Blue on my model appears exactly like the Blue on the last photo. The Blue on the photos of the pre-production BRK Safari looks like the Blue on the BRK 1957 Cadillac Brougham. I'm waiting for a long time after the Transcontinental in 1:43

I’ve had it since infancy, John. I have been told my first word was “car.”
