Just finished a repaint on Brooklins 1941 Chrysler New Yorker. I added fender skirts for a different look and installed Highland Plaid interior. I know that the dark blue is not factory correct as the Highland Plaid was only offered with a solid red background. I thought that the dark blue would contrast nicely with the plad.

You've done a fantastic job on this model.  It's not easy finding nice pre-war American '40s 1/43s so to add this variation is excellent. I have the pale yellow, top-up version and your variation has a totally different feel.

Nice job Ken. I really like your color choice. I have the yellow Brooklin with the top up and the Victory  model in Maroon, top down, Highlander interior and fender skirts.

You've done a beautiful job with this Chrysler model. One of my favorite Brooklin models and your work has made a fantastic transformation.

@jkuvakas. No John. I remake Brooklins that I always wanted to add to my collection.I have not sold any of my remakes so far. I just do it for my own enjoyment.

What was your technique for creating the plaid upholstery?

Ken, you really should open an auto restoration business. It could be named Ken Spear Restorations and could be modeled after  White Post Restorations.

Great job on this beautiful Chrysler ! My grandfather had a 1941 Chrysler, but that was before my time.

@john-quilter. John, this was part of a decal set that I found on the bay a number of years ago. I have kept the original pattern and simply copy it using a high quality laser printer at our local library. I then attach the pattern to double sided tape and trim it to fit. I can send you some if you email me your mailing address. My email is  kenspear@rogers.com. Anyone else, feel free to email me your address if you want this pattern.
