  • In 1958, most of the GM cars were chromed to death. As years have past, I have a better appreciation of this design statement. I like the Brooklin version as is, but I felt it needed a special enhancement. Here are the results of my enhancements.

This one looks great ! I really like 1958 Buicks and this one from Brooklin is excellent. I have a 1/43 from them in convertible form and several coupes and convertibles in 1/18 scale.

More 1958 Buicks,   Vitesse items,a Brooklin, and a Kagar transkit to a Caballero done decades ago. I always find it interesting that the Buick wagons in this era were all "chops" of sedans or four door hardtops by Ionia Manufacturing.   Not totally Fisher Body products.

The Vitesse Buicks were really sharp for the time. I had the dark blue convertible and with some detailing, they were displaying very well.
