Brooklin BRK14 Cadillac and BRK31 I can not identify
Hi all.
I'm new to the forum (and Brooklin models) and am currently
trying to inventory a collection I've recently obtained.
However, I am a little stuck with 2 models:
a BRK14 red Cadillac convertible with light beige/white-ish
roof but with no side mounted fender spare tires,
and a BRK31 Pontiac Delivery, similar to the standard
Gulf-oil logo one but with a "Kodak Camera's and Films" logo
(I don't have a box for this one..)
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
Dave

The Cadillac was the Canadian Toys Collector's Society model for 1963.
Only 400 were made so it is somewhat rare.
The Pontiac is a Code 3 (done outside the factory without permission by Brooklin) converted from a Gulf Oil version.
Thanks Dick
Thanks for the info Dick,
shouldn't the CTCS have side mounted fender spare tires, mine doesn't.
You are correct, it must be a code 3 repaint.
Dave, welcome to our merry band of addicts. What era of Brooklins (and other mfrs. perhaps) are you most interested in?
Also, are you any relation to Katrina v.d.H?
Thanks Rick, well..
To be quite honest, I inherited a collection my father maintained until 1992 when he was struck by a CVA and who passed on recently.
The collection I now have comprises 100+ Brooklin models BRK01 - BRK33.
As I am not a collector myself I now try to find people who can actually appreciate these models. I would hate for them to end up on an attic somewhere gathering dust.
And, quite frankly, I will post (some of) them on the auction here -as soon as I have the courage (total internet-seller newbee).
And no, I don't know Katrina.
I'm sure you'll find the auction here easy to work with. The best part is that you're putting the models before knowledgeable collectors, and you won't run into any of the games and scams so often seen on other, larger (ahem!) auction sites. Also, it's free to list cars there, and if they don't sell you're not out any listing fees and that sort of thing.
The guys who frequent this site are honest and trustworthy, so you're not going to run into any problems with regard to payment or false damage scams, either.
I'm sure that Jay Olins and John Kuvakas will be happy to help you list your models, should you need any help.
Good luck!
Thanks again Rick,
But as I stated before: I am a newbee with respect to online selling. I already contacted John which led to me posting here. I do trust this platform and the people here. I worry about international payments and shipping as I'm in The Netherlands.
But I'm researching on that...
Dick, could you clarify, That was 1963??
When exactly did Brooklin get started?
John F. Quilter
Eugene, Oregon USA
Oops, that should have been 1983, not 1963. Brooklin began in 1974.
First CTCS model was 1979. John Hall, then Brooklin's owner, was one of the founders of the CTCS. Sorry for the confusion.
Identification of your models.
I have a large collection of Brooklin models and I made a complete illustrated collectors guide. Maybe I can help you sorting out your models, I may laso be interested in some code 3's. Please send me an email to gianluigicappi@fastwebnet.it
