Rich Sufficool did a great feature on the 1/24 Automodello version of this car last week.
He commented on how the gloss black showed every dust speck and was a devil to photograph. I agree.
The Brooklin BRK33 1938 Phantom Corsair premiered in early 1991. It is finished in gloss black as is the actual car, with a red interior, yellow license plate and whitewall tyres. Similar to the No.6 Packard Light 8 molded by Julian Stewart and carrying his initials back in 1977, the letters “DLM” etched in base stand for Darren Leonard Mould, who made the master. This Brooklin was deleted in January 1998. Three other limited edition Phantom Corsairs were made but no others in actual real Corsair colours.
Kudos on the photography, David. The "Flying Wombat" lives on.
This looks like a great model. I have the 1:24 scale version (missed that post-going back to look for it) This one is on my list to acquire, just haven't done it yet.

Hard to believe That I've had this model for 31 years. I also have the 1/24 scale.
Kudos on the photography, David. The "Flying Wombat" lives on.

Besides the BRK and the 1/24, there is a 1/43 by Neo. What details there are seem finer in resin.
