This is the next post in my Brooklin in Illinois series.  It features the 1954 Mercury Monarch Lucerne coupe in white and red.  The background photo shows Anderson's Candy Shop in Richmond, which is near the Illinois and Wisconsin border.  They have been making hand made chocolates, fudges, and caramels for 4 generations. The building in the photo is the main store and production center.  Fortunately for me, they also have a small retail store in Barrington about two miles from where I live.

Love the pic!  Must be Canadians on holiday in their Monarch.

Brooklin also made the 1954 Monarch in yellow.

The yellow Monarch was a club special as I recall....all yellow; I guess the one shown has been modified.  Both years of Mercury/Monarch are awesome!

Great post, Ed. Looks authentic. It’s great to see Brooklin’s Canadian cars as well.

I bought this model about six months ago. With all the plated parts and nice colors, it has become one of my favorite Brooklin models.
