They look fabulous! If he's perfected ways to apply paint as durable as a factory finish, then I'm really impressed because I can't.  I rarely strip any diecast model completely; that factory paint, roughed-up a bit w/ sandpaper, is better than any applied primer I can purchase.

Roger gives the impression, at least, that he knows what he's doing!  😉 😉

He does Chris - in addition to doing redos on Brooklin and Lansdowne models Roger had a number of white metal model ranges including Crossway.

If I understand correctly, Roger is a founder and proprietor of white metal Crossway brand?

@fred-eliseeff Hi Fred

Roger was a founder and proprietor of three white metal model ranges:

Jemini Model Reproductions with John Billinger - hand built mainly reproduction of police cars. After partnership ended John retained Jemini Model Reproductions trade name.

Crossway Models - hand built including the Crossway Connoisseur Classics range

Abbey Classics - kits and hand built with and without engine detail

When Roger retired in 2005 Crossway and Abbey Classics were sold to Carl and Amanda Merz. Update checked website but appears no longer in operation.

That's great information!

Unfortunately, I don't have this wonderful book and for me there is no opportunity to purchase it.

Would be awesome to read the pages about Roger from this book.

@fred-eliseeff Many of the write-ups from the book A History of White Metal Transport Modelling are also in HobbyDB, including photos!  The authors were very kind to allow that.
