Does anyone have any update as to what will become of the availability of Brooklin replacement parts? Some time ago, when Brooklin stopped selling replacement parts, it was suggested that an outside party might be providing replacement parts in the future. Any progress? I'm sure that there are many Brooklin collectors that are now in the dark with no source to fixed damaged models. Could it be possible that NABCC take this over? It would seem to be a perfect fit.I'm sure that Brooklin and NABCC could come to an agreement. Pricing could be calculated to make this profitable to NABCC and help support initiatives. I'm sure that there are some NABCC members that would step up to the plate to help organize and distribute. Just a thought.
Hey Ken,
I agree with your suggestion and I hope a lot of us might as well. I would be open to some kind of involvement/participation if this proposal comes before the new Brooklin leadership. Thanks for posting
Mo Brown announced April 6 on the BCC facebook page that ElMo Models would take over the spares, but it would be August before they sort things out. With the factory moving, I assume that it could even longer than that now!
What Karl said is also stated in the latest copy of the BCC magazine. Mo Brown said there are possibly millions of parts and it will take a while before things are set up to provide the service. There will still be a minimum order charge and that minimum has changed from 6 parts to 10 parts so that the flat fee will be spread across more items. So get your wantlists put together folks!
Latest from Mo, if you are not on Facebook...
"If you want to email me your parts requests I will take them on a first come first served basis. You’re probably gonna be in a queue but I will get to you so be patient. Contact me on
