Brooklin's photo diary just posted has a great photo of the forthcoming '58 Buick hardtop. This looks terrific! Whether or not it actually appears in this
color, it sure looks good on this model. We've needed a good model of this
iconic car for a long time.
And I guess we'll soon have a two-tone version of the '59 Brookwood, which is a
good thing! Can't wait for that one.
Not all of the photos have captions yet, at least not on my screen, so I don't
know what's up with the pickup truck and trailer. Hmmmm.
I think we caught them mid-post, so not all the text is there yet.
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
LOL! I think Martyn knows by now that on Fridays, we watch 'em closely!
I'll check back in a little while, as I'm anxious to learn the story of the truck. A
forecast of things to come, perhaps?

Does the US see Top Gear?
Paul, only if one's cable system offers it. I have a friend in Maryland, on our east coast, who's cable tv service offers BBC America. He records two
episodes of "Top Gear" on a disc, then sends them to me.
I love it, although sometimes I don't know who the "celebrities" in the huge
room are. I watched an episode on disc last night in which they matched a
'72 Rolls Royce Mulliner Park Ward against a Mercedes Benz 600, the
"Grosser" limo. It was very entertaining; watching Jeremy and James trying to
find parking places for those behemoths in downtown London was just
hysterical!
If my cable provider offered BBC America, I'd subscribe but since they don't,
I'll just have to wait for the discs every couple of weeks. I wasn't aware that
there is a Top Gear magazine until I saw the photo on Brooklin's photo diary.
I was talking about the tv show, of course.
Rick, a new series started last week and the Stig was unmasked.
We now know who he is. Do you want to know? - Its sensational!
The stars in 'The reasonably priced car' are usually rather parochial, with one or two notable exceptions.
The real stars are the totally politically unacceptable Clarkson, Hammond and May.
The magazine is good, but not exceptional like the programe.
Could you watch it on BBC iplayer?
Top Gear videos are on You Tube via the BBC Channel.
Thanks, Paul. I do enjoy the antics of the three co-hosts, particularly their droll humor. The recent fox-hunt episode was outrageous, too. Very
funny.
My friend told me that they were going to unmask the Stig. I don't know, but
I'll venture a guess. I'll say it's Michael Schumacher. I'd love to know, but if
you don't want to ruin the surprise for others, please email me at:

I have one other two-episode discs to watch tonight. I really prefer watching
them on a full-sized tv screen, so I have no interest in watching them on
YouTube or a computer monitor.
Thanks, Paul.
Rick, your guess is <Spoiler Alert>....
Correct. However, many fans are predicting that Top Gear is just "playing" with its audience and that your guess will later to be revealed to not really have been the Stig. Who knows what those crazy fellas have up their sleeves?
For fun, check out this link for quotes from Top Gear about the Stig.
Some say he never blinks, and that he roams around the woods at night foraging for wolves....
All we know is, he's called the Stig!
Clever wind-up I reckon Paul.
I'm sure it's not him really. Apparently it used to be Perry McCarthy but the smart money is on Damon Hill who is unattached as regards a racing team and lives near the circuit where they make the programme. Have you decided whether to buy a Jaguar XK120 or Vincent Black Shadow yet? I quite fancy the Tornado too but it's too long for my drive.
Interesting, John.
Damon Hill was my other contender, although I had no idea naturally about the
proximity of his residence. The Stig appears to be built like Damon Hill, and I
think Schuey is a little taller and stockier but I'm not really sure.
My guess came from a discussion my friend and I were having some months
ago, before the identity was "revealed," if in fact it really has been. It'll be fun to
see how all this develops.
Uncovered
Quite right. Michael Schumacher drove his own black Ferrari FXX round the track at Dunsfold Park, Surrey in a time that was seven whole seconds quicker than any other car that has been timed. It was the most fantastic exhibition of controlled driving.
It was however a one-off, he is not the usual Stig. Here is a a bit of speculation from one British paper last Monday:
'So despite the 'big unmasking' motoring fans will still have to keep debating just who the real Stig is.
Ben Collins, a former racer and stunt man from Bristol, is thought by many to be The Stig.
His identity is a closely-guarded secret - although many people have speculated about who inhabits the famous white overalls and helmet.
Some reports insist he is a Norwegian racing car driver, others a Frenchman.
In January it was revealed that the BBC employs no fewer than eight drivers to don his pristine racing whites.
The most high-profile is Heikki Kovalainen, the 27-year-old Finnish Formula One McLaren driver who is Lewis Hamilton's partner.
Former GT world championship racing driver Chris Goodwin, 41, has also starred as the Stig.
As has fellow Londoner Julian Bailey, a 47-year-old former Formula One racing driver who raced for the Tyrell and Lotus teams.
Stunt driver Terry Grant from Bushey in Hertfordshire has also slipped into the white racing leathers to become the Stig as has Russ Swift.
The role has also been taken on by Dan Lang, a Swedish snow mobile racing champion who in one stunt drove a snow mobile off a ski jump.
A source on the show added: 'Look at the pictures of the Stigs from show to show. If you look at the height of Stig in different pictures, that tells its own story.'
Direct TV (satellite) carries it. My wife likes Gordon Ramsey and now talks like him in the kitchen.
Actually, there are two Stigs.
One is John Kuvakas, the other Randy Bahler. Remember this is classified information...
