This video was made for MTS Aviation Models and Isaiah Jones. Isaiah's shop will host the Wayne Moyer collection sale on Oct 13 as part of our upcoming 1/43 weekend. Isaiah and a group of his clients toured the factory in Hastings recently and got a first-hand look at how a white metal airplane model is made. It is very similar to how Brooklin models are made. Take a look!

John K, thanks for sharing the video. Since I have a small collection of diecast airplanes (about 20), I probably have more interest in this than others 1/43 scale car collectors. Some day I hope to see MTS Aviation Model store.

In addition to seeing how these were made, I learned a different pronunciation for decals… deckles (like freckles).

W here in the lower regions pronounce it dee-cals with the "cals" part similar to "gals."

We are even more deep here in the US, so we add an extra syllable to everythiang.  So it's deeeagals.

Very cool video - I want a factory visit so i can get a factory visit model!!!
