I decided to turn one of my Brooklin 1934 Ford Deluxe 5 Window Coupes into a Standard model. The changes were removing the passengers side taillight, horn, windshield wiper, both cowl lights and the Greyhound radiator cap. Standard cars came in Medium Luster black (which this model now wears), Dearborn Blue, Cordoba Grey and Vineyard Green. All wheels on Standard cars were Japan Black. Windshield frames on Standard cars were painted.I foiled the stainless trim band on the spare tire cover face plate as the car would have come equipped. Special orders did happen but anyone ordering a Standard car was in it to save money and most likely did not order a car or wheel color in other than Fords official offering, after all, a Deluxe car was only $40.00 more. The Standard Ford 5 Window Coupe was the least expensive car in the Ford Lineup in 1934 at $515.00 FOB Detroit.
Very neat! Also, can I ask what roadway (or road materials) you used for this diorama? Looks excellent.
It looks great and especially so in it's roadway setting here. An attractive car and model !
@tedweller The roadway is Plaster of Paris sanded smooth and then painted with three flat colors from spray cans at a distance to get the speckled look of asphalt.
The car and roadway look great. Nice work.

Your changes and diorama look awesome Curtis. I have to say that of the color choices available by Ford for this car the tan done by Brooklin appeals to me the least, so I love your choice of black.
