One of the last Brooklin models to come from the factory in Bath was this very nice ‘53 Ford Customline 4 door sedan finished in factory correct Seafoam Green.  It was a model of a  very ordinary car you’d see in your neighbor’s driveway or in the parking lot of your local A&P market.

I remember A&P growing up in Buffalo, NY !

Also, Loblaw's & Super Duper !

How bout you ?

@kenspear I get it.  I thought you could, perhaps, save a little work, no worries.

(...yeah, I couldn't remember if Goldvarg's was a'53 or '54)

David Knight has been trying to point me toward a video. I think this is the one he wants to share. I'll post directions on how to post a video from YouTube later today.

@100ford2003 As someone also raised around Buffalo, how about Acme, Bells, Park Edge, and - course - Tops?

@100ford2003. I  worked pt-time for Loblaws as a teenager in the '60s.The store was across the Niagara river in Fort Erie. Loblaws is a Canadian grocery store. I wasn't aware that they had any stores in New York state at the time.

Oh yeah, there was one in Depew, NY.

And my grandma worked at the loading / unloading docks unloading bananas brought up from Florida.

God Bless Nana. She also worked at Bell by the Buffalo airport assembling ejection seats for P-39's

I remember Acme, Tops and Super Duper ! And the Broadway Market !

There were so many great meat markets and bakeries there. An Almond Ring was a weekend delight !

And a plotzak too !!! Not sure if I spelled it right...

@100ford2003 I think you and I have hijacked this thread into a "Buffalo memories" theme.  That said - the Broadway Market is still going, though nothing like it used to be (but it comes back strong every Easter).  As for your Nana working at Bell Aircraft -- believe it or not, my Dad worked at Bell from 1940 - 1978, as an engineer (worked on the first jet airplane here in the U.S., among many other amazing aircraft and space flight projects).  Who knows? Maybe they bumped into each along the way......

@michel-lemieux The B&W pictures tone down the inaccuracies of the Brooklin model. If I want a Ford of this period, I will consider the upcoming Goldvarg repaint station wagon.

The Goldvarg '55 Country Squire wagon is expected late this year I believe.  Personally I can't wait to receive it.....both colors for me!
