Introduced in 1934 as a 1935 model the Chevrolet Suburban is the longest produced model of any nameplate. It started as a utility passenger vehicle based on the pickup and was called the Suburban Carryall. The name suited the vehicle for many years. While it has remained a people mover throughout its twelve generations it has become a popular vehicle for soccer moms in the suburbs and among growing families. As it has become more luxurious it is often seen at the country clubs in the tony parts of town.
There aren’t many models of the Suburban in 1:43 but Brooklin did a ‘55 (fourth heneration) and Luxury Diecasts introduced a 2010 (tenth generation). Both are shown here.
