For all those who couldn’t make it, here’s a review of today’s activities in Countryside…
Tom was at the door. Just $5 to enter and a chance at the door prize!
Frank had a few pieces to sell.
Um, this speaks for itself. We’re all just thankful there was nothing new in this inbred family.
The saint… otherwise known as John’s lovely wife.
John really likes that pinky salmon color.
A reissued Highway Travelers Hudson Italia from Buz.
Greg always has something interesting at his table
Those lovely Dodge wagons!
The show model from Brooklin in both top up and down versions.
Got to hear some great stories from Thomas Dirnberger on his specialty pieces from his partnership with GLM.
What would it be without Al Stack!
Or our generous host Jeff Lane, who promises his very limited Ford wagon may be ready by March.
Lots of new Brooklins!
Karl checking out some Alfa models.
Buzzin’ by Buz.
I kid you not… I found a holy grail model. It’s a Rolls Royce Aerocar, designed to tow a glider. I didn’t hesitate to strike a deal and make it mine. It’ll sit next to the Swan.
Skip had us thinking he was leaving empty handed… but we learned otherwise!
Lots of great pictures Randy. Thanks. I am especially surprised by the rally style wheels on the Brooklin show car. They look much better than the stock wheels used on the regular Brooklin issues .Have these been made specially for this issue by Brooklin? I wonder if they will be available from the parts bid to purchase for our red '65s.
Thanks Randy. I really miss being there.
I wish I could have been there too. However, the Chattanooga Motorcar Festival was spectacular. I met and talked at length with David Hobbs, Justin Bell, Alain de Cadenet, and the gracious Linda "Miss Hurst" Vaughn. I have convinced myself to go back tomorrow for the Concours car show. In the meantime here's a couple of pics from the hundreds I took.
