Collecting a niche subject, there are not too many new models coming on to the market though in the past couple of months things seem to have picked up!
As in the market for model US cars, there are more resincast models appearing.
Dwindle from Italy has done the following:
Count Giovanni Lurani's 1939 Nibbio

The 1965 Burke & Cagle streamliner

and the 1988 Swamp Rat #33 with which Don Garlits set his one and only Bonneville record

This vehicle is also available with a tailfin as it was driven in 1989 though not by Garlits and it did not set any new records.
Dwindle is working with Scale Auto Art in the US who builds a number of kits for them so you can buy either kit or built model.
Then there is another new brand called Whiiiiz Speed Story models that has got two models coming:
The 1999 Pat Rummerfield electric streamliner White Lightning which set the record for electric vehicles.

and the Ed Rannberg Lightning Rod, the first electric vehicle over 200mph though unable to do a return run within the specified time, so no official record!

Some of these are already on their way to my show case!
Arrived recently is this 90HP Simplex Mercedes with which W.K. Vanderbilt set a record on the Ormond-Daytona beach:

This one is from Touchwood Models in the UK who will also be doing the twin-engined Mercedes "Flying Dutchman" which I am awaiting (a bit impatiently).
After a long period of relatively few new LSR models, all of a sudden there are again topo many to buy them all!

There have been some great record model of late. I pretty much limit it to world LSR models that achieved the maximum speed at the time. If I were very rich, I'd buy everything but I can't. I did get a built up Sonic 1 and it filled a big hole in the collection.

I also have bought the LSR Productions/SMTS Sonic 1 but the biggest problem was getting the information so as to being able to have the correct version built!
Basically the pictures of the built version are of the presentation car before it ever went to Bonneville but with louvres cut in which were not present at that point in time.
With the air-pressure underneath the bodywork and the wheel-wells there have been a fair number of additions and modifications like cutting the louvres, having the air intake repaired (which cut off the Craig Breedlove name on either side to Craig B on the right and eedlove on the left).
Then there were different reinforcement plates to keep the dzus fasteners in place as well as 3 strips of metal to deflect airflow on the wheel wells left and right.
There were differences to the car on the runs on 1st and 2nd November and again on 14th and 15th November 1965.
Getting all the information has been a problem, but what we (Howard Statham and I) ended up with comes partially from speaking to Breedlove, mailing with an old team member and carefully analysing photographs from various sources.
One thing to warn you about: the date on a lot of press photographs is NOT correct!
I still need to take some pictures of my 15th November 600mph version of the model (I kept the John Shinton Sonic 1 as the presentation version), but will post pictures when I have got them.

Nice models Arie - I was unaware of Dwindle.
I like the Swamp Rat and Burke & Cagle streamliner.
The only recent LSR acquisition I have is the Bizarre Double Duesenberg. But I wonder if its wheels extend too far from the body.
