Corgi Classics, World of Wooster Bentley.

Michel DeTorrace's Bentley posting reminded me about the several Bentley models in my collection.

For some reason, my images could not be added to his initial post.

The World of Wooster is a comedy television series, based on the Jeeves stories by author P.G. Wodehouse. The television series starred Ian Carmichael as English gentleman Bertie Wooster and Dennis Price as Bertie's valet Jeeves.

The series aired on BBC Television from 1965 until 1967, about the time this Corgi Bentley was made..

Like many other British television series of the time, much of the series was lost to "house cleaning".

Corgi produced 4 different Bentleys in this 9000 Corgi Classics series. I have them all and could show them here if there is interest, likely in added post due to me computer issue with adding pictures to existing posts..

Great ol' Bentley model, David - I always favoured the Jeeves and Wooster version from 1990-93, with Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry. They were brilliant!

@karl

Me too Karl. I featured the earlier version because it was closely related to the Corgi release. Loved Hugh Laurie in that later role.

@karl 1989- 93 Jeeves and Wooster is magnificent TV series. This one is my favourite too. By the way, here heroes use Aston Martin International.

As to original 60s TV series where was Brntley 3 litre very sad that it had been lost. It's a part of history and we lost an opportunity to compare both versions.
