CTCS 2013. An interesting, but unusual model 1937 Pontiac Railroad Police Vehicle. Limited to 175 pieces.

Order form can be found on this site.
There's more pictures on Brooklin's diary.
Do the tracks come with it? As a dealer are you being offered some models to sell?
I believe the tracks do come with it Dick, but I will not be having any in stock
If you follow the link, you should be able to get one direct from CTCS, and no doubt cheaper than from a dealer.
I think I'll pass on this one,
I like O scale trains and I like 1:43 scale cars but don't collect cars that ride on tracks. Nice model though, for those who do.

I like it. The link to the CTCS order form shows an illustration of the model with lights or something on the roof to go in the holes shown in the photo from BRK's website. I suppose they're lights, or maybe a very loud horn or a sign of some sort.
I know it's for the Canadian collectors club, but if BRK would offer it in a different color and with a US railroad decal like the B & O, I'd go for it in a heartbeat!
Cool model!
Mike, I ordered mine long ago. Dealers should NOT get this model.
However, in past years, several dealers in the US have got them at good prices. I have had a running argument with the CTCS and Nigel about this. BCC models and the SFBBC models (when we were active) were never available through dealers. When dealers have the models to sell it is totally unfair to collectors who have had their money held by the CTCS for five months.
The CTCS is NOT a BRK club. The connection goes back to always using a BRK model.
This dates back to 1979. As I have them all, I cannot bear to break the string.
I knew that...I just stated it poorly. Thanks for the clarification.
They can if they are members of the club, and of course if they obtain models from people who are members. That's why I made the distinction in the price levels, to encourage people to support the club.
I can tell you it's O gauge if you're interested in adding a layout vehicle. I emailed and asked.
Too bad there's no way of motorizing it like there is with a lot of the 1/43 tram models. Still, if I had any free money/wasn't pushing myself overbudget, I'd get it due to virtually all of my diecast models being either permanently displayed on or rotated through me and Dad's layout.
Mike, I have sent you an email explaining what I meant.
Thanks Dick. I have read it and responded.
CTCS models
I have heard that some of the CTCS issues in the past didn't sell well and the club was in a spot to remove them from inventory. Perhaps they weren't in the position of holding the surplus and denying them to members or potential subscribers in the future as some other clubs did? It certainly was the CTCS's option to divest themselves of the initial investment commitment as they saw fit.
They still warrant the tradition that has evolved around their association with Brooklin and collectors.
I don't have all of their issues and would have my head examined if I paid some of the sums asked for earlier issues.
I suppose if money is no issue; it doesn't matter, right? LOL
In response to several of the posted comments ....
The model will ship with a 5" piece of standard O-Gauge track and the front/rear bogie wheels are designed to be on the vehicle or removed from the car by the purchaser.
While CTCS does not have the designation BRK Club in its name it is in fact the first club to promote Brooklin Models, going back to John Hall's time with a special model commissioned every year since 1979.
CTCS has always striven to maintain a 'Canadian' touch to all the models produced and the 2013 model, a Canadian Pacific Railroad Police Vehicle, continues that tradition.
The holes in the roof are for a center siren and two lateral red lights as seen on the original vehicle CTCS took the specs from.
This one is great! Unique yet historically correct and accurate- with a Canadian theme!
