Here are various conversions just completed of the diecast GFCC 1959 Pontiac Bonneville convertible. The four door sedan and wagon had to be slightly sectioned the rear quarter as they were not as long as the Bonnevilles. I was able to enhance the somewhat generic wheels by adding "spinners" as fitted to the up market cars.

Well done, John. Thanks for your good post; I really admire your work.
More excellent work John. Thanks for sharing.
John, this is fabulous work! I like it very much.... it's ALWAYS NICE (IMO) to see "the family" of cars offered in any one particular year. I love it! 😉 😉 😉
(...and yes, nice job disguising those "toy-rims")
Thanks for your comment. I think doing and collecting the "family" of cars of a particular year is part of my collecting modus operandi . I've done 1950 Chevrolets, 1952 Chevrolets, 1950 Oldsmobiles, 1950 Fords, 1950 Pontiacs, 1950 Buicks, 1959 Plymouths, 1964 Mercurys, 1950 Lincoln Cosmopolitians, 1952 Imperials, 1963 Oldsmobiles, 1954 Buicks, 1954 Pontiacs, 1956 Fords, 1957 Chevrolets, well the memory fades but the list goes on and on and on. But actually I'm also a British car guy.

I like your “family” of cars approach to collecting. I do not have that many 1/43 scale cars to do families like you do. I have a family of Conquest/Madison 1959 Pontiacs including convertible, four door sedan, and wagon. I also have a few mini-families of two cars, but that is it.
Like the others, I compliment you on your modeling skills.

...about 100 years ago, I posted a 1956 Ford Corporation "family pic" ...that is, every make from the Ford "family" was represented in 1/18 (I'm mostly 1/18 but have collections in ALL scales). Unless I do extensive modifications (which I've done from time-to-time) owning a specific year "family portrait" in 1/18 is next to impossible.
