I have a Daimler double six I would like to take apart so I can spray paint it but it seems welded together with no obvious seams. Anyone got any hints or tips as it would look good painted and glazed
From online searches, it seems you pry it apart and hope the super glue is not that tight, or paint in place like our friend John Q did here...
I would go with Harv's suggestion. Unless you like the challenge Maz, and this would certainly keep out of mischief for a while.

I have been wondering the same thing ie: will the pewter cars come apart. I do not have any to inspect and have been hesitant in buying one without first finding out if it can be done.If they are glued together, perhaps letting them soak in a solvent for a couple of days might help to loosen up the glue.Depending on the type of glue used, a hot water soak might help if water soluble glue is used. In any event Maz, it's worth a try. Let us know your results.I'm sure that there are others on the forum that have been wondering the same thing.
I suggest paint in place, its not that complicated.
