Day 2 was the traditional toy show across the street in the union hall. There was a good crowd, although not as packed as it's been in the past.

A couple of callout moments as Goldvarg showed off some "coming very soon" models that were marked NFS (bummer)

And GLM showed off a 1:18 scale Caddy that will roll out soon, too.

Then there were the familiar faces from Saturday, including Buz Kirkel!

I ended up with a larger bag(s) of purchases this year between Saturday and Sunday than I have in a while. I couldn't refuse the brand new GLMs from Thomas' booth with a new wagon, a couple concept cars, and a '63 Studebaker. Plus some fun other stuff that was priced right to take home.

FINAL THOUGHTS: Putting the models aside for a second, this weekend was much more about renewing friendships in the hobby than it was about the actual cars. None of it could have happened without our innovative makers like Automodello, Goldvarg, GLM, Route 66, and Brooklin (and others). Or our supportive vendors who listen to what collectors want (Jim Cowan, Tom Dirnberger, Sergio Goldvarg, Greg Gunn, Buz Kirkel, the team at Brooklin). Or the many volunteers who helped set up and man the booth (Skip, Karl, John, Randy, Tom). And most importantly, the ones who put their heart into making this hobby so much fun… a very special thanks is extended to Jeff Lane and John Kuvakas. Until next time everyone!

I am glad I was able to get to this show, even if I was accompanied by my walking stick now ! A lot of friends plus many sensational cars.

Thanks for the photo summary. It was great to see all the folks from the 1/43 scale hobby. I only brought home three models, Brooklin/Elmo 1968 Mustang, Brooklin 1957 Chevrolet, and GLM 1956 Chrysler.
