Technically it was called the AAC Tipo 815 from 1940. Auto Avio Construzioni was formed by Enzo Ferrari after he left Alfa Romeo in 1938. His separation agreement forbade him from using his own name for any automotive endeavor for 4 years (Scuderia Ferrari was quite well known throughout Italy). After making aircraft parts and machine tools for two years he was approached to build two racing cars for the 1940 Mille Miglia. The two AAC 815s failed to finish and only one survives today. Ixo No. FER054 was released in 2008.

With 2022 being the 75th anniversary of the Ferrari marque, it will be interesting to see if any of the model companies jump on this theme.....
