Diecast for today 1/5/22 - Dinky No 147 1961 Cadillac Series 62 4-door DeVille

This one was made from about 1962-1969. Aside from a slightly too high greenhouse, not too bad a diecast for the era.

I have this one as well and had one as a kid too.  I must say that this casting is not as good a quality as most Dinky Toys though.  I got a chuckle out of the police version back in the day....a bit out of the fleet budget I would say!

@jack-dodds That's one Dinky I avoided - completely unrealistic. But I have the DeSoto version.

And it has stood for 60 years as the sole 1961 Cadillac in anything approximating our scale.  This is finally about to change with the expected release of some convertibles by Stamp Models, both top lowered in Dusty Rose Iridescent and top raised {i think] Copper Iridescent.  They were shown on their Facebook page but now I can't find the raised top version

Great news about the '61 coming from STAMP.  I recall the dusty rose; it was a beautiful color back in the day.  Another "must have".  I hope they eventually do a 2drht. CDV as well.
