Thanks for all the kind words received this week on the Dinky 1953 sports cars. But those unfamiliar with the brand may have noticed a gap between Nos. 101-105 and 107 -111. The gap was actually filled around 1954 when Dinky renumbered its 140a Austin Atlantic convertible (which appeared in 1951) as 106. The diecast made it to 1958, and appeared in as many as 12 different colors. It was the only Dinky cast with recessed door shut lines until this became common in the 1960s. The dash was well detailed, including a radio, probably a rare option on an early 1950s British car.
