I have this model listed as a Hongwell, but it could also be Altaya's work (via Ixo, no doubt). I have only found one 1:1 pic online and if memory serves, I think TN evaluated their use before going with the Impala. The base lists it as a 2003 model, and the model has an unauthentic European-sized rear plate (right color though).Â
Yes, a nice model by Cararama (Hongwell). I see they also did a U.S. Coastguard version and one or two other police cars. And for those who just want a basic street car they did the Intrepid in a variety of colours. Quite an attractive casting with posable front wheels.
I always fancied models of its sister cars, the Chrysler Concorde and LHS, which I thought were quite dramatically styled, but nobody seems to have considered them worth doing in 1:43 - apart from me, that is. I painstakingly converted a Hongwell Intrepid into a Concorde and the result wasn't an unqualified success but I thought it was a brave try and better than nothing.
