The Dinky Toys 167 AC Aceca coupe was made from 1958 to 1963, with spun wheels replacing the painted cast ones around 1960. The real Aceca was made from 1954 to 1963; in all 328 were built with AC, Bristol, or Ford engines. The coupe was based on the AC Ace roadster, which led to the AC Cobra. These two are original hobby shop stock, in my possession for over 50 years.

Harv, there is something I have been wondering. Obviously, you have a lot of models. Do you display most of them or leave most in their boxes? Maybe show a photo or two of your collection?

And FYI, there are two of these in 1:1 scale currently undergoing restoration at a local restoration shop.  One upgraded to a Ford V8, a sort of pre Cobra,  Cobra.

@ed-davis y they live in their boxes, on end so as not to flatten tires over time. My display case space is limited, so I rotated collection items through. Presently one case is devoted to Le Mans winners, and the other is filling up with an assortment. Here are some older pics, one with fire vehicles, the other with an assortment of Le Mans and white metal.

I passed up getting those Corgi display cases many years ago to my continuing regret. Thanks for sharing these Harv. I like the idea of revolving displays with time and interest.

I'm looking for my boxed AC Aceca. I don't have the one with the red top.
