GFCC diecasts make for some good donor cars for modifications. Here is the stock Bonneville convertible with a top boot added for top down display, a two door hardtop using a displaced and modified roof from a long ago Vitesse transkit 1959 Chevrolet project and finally a Catalina four door sedan also using this roof but being a Catalina it had t be cut and shortened by about 6 scale inches as these had shorter rear clips than Bonnevilles. A future project will be a station wagon.

John, forgive me if I'm asking you to repeat something from the past, but I would really like to see a photographed sequence of your re-building a stock model into one of your specialized pieces. Please consider doing so.

David, I get so caught up in the process that I often fail to take photos at all and I'm not as good a photographer as some on the forum. I go at the construction like a man possessed sometimes. But recent projects are converting a circa 1953 Morris Six, a Tintin item, into a Morris Oxford MO and another one just now on the work bench is a similar conversion but into a Traveller, the wood bodied estate (station wagon). For pictures of these 1:1 cars, do a Google search and click on "images"
And the completed Oxford MO
