To be honest, I never knew (or forgot, always possible at my age) that GMC made their own version of the El Camino. On the street throughout the 1970's I might never have noticed the few GMC emblems replacing the bowtie as I drove by. That is until I spotted one in the DeAgostini American Cars series. The white color is in stark contrast to the black '70 El Camino that has also appeared in this brand.

Me too, but who would want a Sprint when you could get an El Camino - a much cooler name!
@david-knight Looks like they left the stripes off the tailgate of the 1/43, unless that's an owner or dealer-applied upgrade.
@jack-dodds More specifically, the difference between El Camino/Sprints between 1970 and 1971 looks like the headlights. The 1970 has four, the '71 has two with turn indicators/side markers moved to the leading edge of the fenders. DeAgostini/PCT caught these differences.
