This model came out in 2015 but since I already had the green version (engine J-476, A-C-D Museum) I had not sought it out. But last month Greg Gunn had a bargain priced one at Countryside so I picked it up. I found it replicates chassis 2492, engine J-249, which was rebodied as a torpedo later in life. The red version was an LE of only 85.

Nice catch Harv. I always wanted the red version, just never got around buying it. I have the green version & the pink/violet version-at the time I thought it was very striking. Like the red, it was a LE of 85.

@jcarnutz Our friend Randy Rusk snagged a violet version at the same toy show.

Don't forget the black Doozy. Can you imagine the glare from the sun when you're behind the wheel?

I too have the green one primarily because Of having seen it at the ACD museum. Nice models.

...and for comparison the green one by Minimarque

redone for me in 2017 by German model builder Holger Nikolai. The silver body part is the bare polished white metal and the rumble seat lid is movable.

@rich-sufficool I love, love, love this model. It’s so well executed and the colors are striking. When I snagged it at the show, I couldn’t stop looking at it. I missed it the first time around because it carried a higher price tag than one of the other colors.
