A number of weeks ago I posted a listing of the Bugatti Royales I had, three of which came from my Ixo Museum series models. Around that time I took pictures of all of them, so thus begins postings of them. First up, MUS002, the Alfa 8C 2900B roadster from 1938. Love the printed chrome that Ixo used on this series, instead of masked/sprayed or pad-printed silver. It appears to be the Lungo Spyder pictured here: https://www.supercars.net/blog/1938-alfa-romeo-8c-2900b-lungo-spyder-gallery/
I love the color !
@karl Was yours the Ixo MUS002 or maybe a partworks version?
Came in the Museum box - they did have a black version that was for a partworks... I'll have to check mine out...
Here is the black one - looks like the same exact details. Just the Alfa model name and 1/43 on the baseplate. The grill might be slightly less blackwashed and have less depth to it. The chrome printing is much more matte, so perhaps just silver pad printed? Don't know, but it covered better than my red one. I like the darker red seats on this one as well.
All really nice but someone rushed the chrome application on Karl's red one. Love the Alfa 8Cs.

Yep, but luckily like many of the photos shown here, it is not so noticeable in person, or when sitting on the shelf! 🧐
