Chrysler's controversial Airflow debuted in 1934 and by 1936 it was looking a little more mainstream with a grille not much different than its competitors. Ixo's model in a gunmetal color looks pretty authentic to me but I'm no Chrysler expert.
My only other Airflow is the '34 by Brooklin, purchased directly from John Hall on issue in 1978 for the princely sum of $24.95.
I know that Rextpys made a '35 Airflow, which would fill a gap here, but it looks a little stubby to me. Any opinions from anyone who has one?
@frank In looking at photos of the 1935 1:1, it struck me that perhaps Rextoys tried squeezing a 4-ddor body into a 2-door body length. What do you think Frank?
@mg-harv I’ll have to measure, maybe add a picture with a ruler. The side windows look quite different between the 3 models. I’ll look closer at a 1:1 picture as well.

looks like there may have been an imperial model which may account for the preception:

Interesting discussion Harv and Frank. I am amazed at the variations over a few short years that you show in your examples. I have the Brooklin and the Rextoy. I thought they were fairly rudimentary but after this presentation, I am not so sure. They were both early renditions, I know.
On an aside, my Brooklin was won from John Hall, then owner of Brooklin, in a Canadian Toy Collector's Society Mini Show in the late 1970s for Best Display. (You, guessed it....Jaguars.)
I had that #7 Brooklin Airflow in my hand (in an antique shop in Salem VA) early on in my collecting before I knew anything about Brooklin and their values. Probably my one regret in collecting. I bought the Rextoy (which was available from gasolinealley) because I wanted a Rextoy in my collection from what I learned from this forum.

Found these profiles of the Rextoys and the 1:1 two-door online.
The two-door seems to have more of a fastback style So here's a comparison of the 4-door and Rextoys.
So it looks like there were two wheelbases, the Rextoys may be OK, and Frank's comment about the Imperial version solves the mystery. Wikipedia says the wheelbase was increased in 1936, so there again is something I didn't know. So I think my '36 is the longer wheelbase Imperial version.
